Note: The independent duo of Rubinald Rofino Pronk, a sleek Black
dancer formerly of the Dutch National Ballet, and Drew Jacoby, a tall,
perfectly-ripped woman formerly of Alonzo King's Lines Ballet of San
Francisco, were sensational -- all sinewy dynamite and flexy agility --
in Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's angular showpiece, One."
I received those beautiful pictures of "ONE" taken by photographer Amitava Sarkar.
After a 6 weeks-rehearsal period "Nocturne", the new version specially made for the Ankara Modern Dance Toplulugu (MDT), has held its premier in the Ankara Opera house on the 29th of March 2008,
The piece is set on several compositions by Frederic Chopin with costumes by Jose Drabbe.
The 7 female dancers: Nazli Dirin, Zeynep Olcayto, Özlem Özükan, Özlem Özdemir, İlke Sayıner, Zerçin Sönmez and Müge Yetişmen have brought the piece back to the stage with lot's of verve and theatrical power.
